This blog exists to provide Democrats and Liberals with clear, hard, concise branding of the political opposition. We believe that only with this kind of framing will the Democrats overcome the GOP advantage in money and media and consistently win elections. We invite you to use our messaging at the water cooler, in the press release, at the lectern, in the campaign or just to shut up the father-in-law at Thanksgiving (especially to shut up the father-in-law at Thanksgiving). If you like it use it, and please, share it. And please, play-hard-ball.

Deadly Cheap

Environmental lawyer Mike Papantonio said in an interview on the Ed Schultz Show that it was Cheney's secret energy task force that decided the $500,000 switches that could have prevented the oil spill in the gulf were too much a burden on the industry.

In 2009 Exxon Mobile made $88,000 a minute. That's $500,000 in 5 minutes 40 seconds. It seems however, as far as the GOP is concerned just about any expense, rule or regulation imposed on the oil or coal industry is too much. The consequences be damned.
